Long Week

It has been a really long week despite the holiday on Monday. Tuesday we had a home inspection on the house that should be ours. Then, I had class, and had to teach that night. Wednesday we went and signed pre-closing papers on the house that should be ours. Then, I had to work until 9:00. Thursday, we had a chiropractors appointment, I had class, and on the way to work I found out the VA was smoking crack, and messing with the chance we had to get the house that should be ours. Today, we got a call from the seller's bank saying that they decided not to sell us the house that should be ours.

You ever just have one of these weeks? I do not mind so much that the bank decided it did not want to lose however much money they are going to lose by short selling the house. I just care about how they led my wife and I on. We put in the offer on the house a month ago... they did not accept the offer until the morning of the day we were able to withdraw our offer. So then, they put the onus on us to uphold our end of the contract, so we create this living hell of a week we just went through. Then, at the 11th hour they pull their acceptance of our offer...

What ever happened to a yes meaning yes, and a signed contract being worth a damn... My weekend has not even started yet, and it is wrecked. The house my wife and I thought we had was yanked out from under us... We paid for a home inspection thinking that the contract was finalized. Had we pulled crap like the bank pulled today we would have lost $2000 in earnest money. As it stands, we are out $275 for the home inspection because THEY decided they did not like the contract THEY had already signed... How the hell is that right?

I really did not like the ending to this week... That is a horrible crappy thing to do to a young couple... Unfortunately, there is not much we can do... Too bad... Now the house will go into full foreclosure and the bank will be losing even more money than they are now. Funny... they can lose some now, or even more later... No wonder the government feels a need to bail these morons out... Unfortunately they want to use my tax dollars to do it... Either way, I am going to be buying that house. I just wish I could move my family into it...

Oh well... Next week can't get much worse. I guess that is a good thing...

Me Blog!

So... This is me... many years ago, me nonetheless. That is not what this blog is about though... This blog is about some of the reviews I have received from http://www.linkreferral.com/. Some of the comments have puzzled me.

Essentially, I have been told that my google adsense ads need to blend in more with the page, that I would get more clicks that way. Well my readers, that is not what this blog is about. This blog is about me, my thoughts and lack there of, not about making money. If I happen to along the way that is great, if not it is still a way for me to vent and relax a little after days like today (more on that tomorrow).

When you come here as a much appreciated reader I want you to know what is the blog, and what is there as an advertisement or promotion. I hate going to sites where I can not tell what is meant to be content, and what is meant to be an advertisement. I thik that it is deceitful to make your sponsors look like content, or link to them within content.

The fact is I want you to come back because of the original content, to read what I have to say and agree with it, be entertained or start a civil debate. I will provide my honest insight, all I ask in return is that you provide honest feedback. If one of the ads interests you, that is your peroggative, go for it... if not no worries.

So my dear reader, live, laugh and love...

Enjoy the reading... Happy blogging!

Prayers,

Pisio

P.S. To all entrecard members... I apologize... I will not be returning drops today... Too much to do, too little energy...

Thank You

Thanks to you, as well as entrecard.com and link referral, I broke 100 visitors for the first time yesterday. It is an interesting feeling to know that 105 people stopped by to read my thoughts and opinion on things. Just a few weeks ago, I was barely breaking 17 readers a day, not here we are averaging around 60. Today was awesome though.

I hope that most of you will come back and visit me again. I will continue to post my thoughts, dreams and ideas as long as you keep coming back. From the looks of it, most of you will... Mahalo for continuing to meander through my musings...

Prayers...

Pisio

P.S.: I really look forward to comparing Hillary to monkfish some more :).

Angry Gun Toting Meat Eater

"There is one group no one has recognized, and it is the group that will decide the election: the Angry White Man. The Angry White Man comes from all economic backgrounds, from dirt-poor to filthy rich. He represents all geographic areas in America, from urban sophisticate to rural redneck, deep South to mountain West, left Coast to Eastern Seaboard."

So the article by Gary Hubble reads, and man did it strike a chord with me today. I just wanted to jump up and exclaim some one gets it... And now because of this blog, I get to echo Mr. Hubble's sentements. You see, I am one of those white men he talks about so eloquently in the article from today.

"The victimhood syndrome buzzwords — “disenfranchised,” “marginalized” and “voiceless” — don’t resonate with him. “Press ‘one’ for English” is a curse-word to him. He’s used to picking up the tab, whether it’s the company Christmas party, three sets of braces, three college educations or a beautiful wedding."

Preach Hubble, Preach...

As a white male in todays society I can know that I will never get a hand out from anyone. The onus for me to succeed is squarely on my shoulders, and I would have it no other place. I think it finally set in for me that I would never again play on an even field when I applied for Federal Fianancial Aid when I decided to return to school.

I filled out the endless mounds of paperwork, documenting my income for the last three years and proving that I had paid my share of taxes. I submitted the paperwork and was told that until I contributed $22500 annually towards my college education, I did not qualify for federal aid. Meanwhile, young women from affluent white families and minorities who are the sons and daughters of white collared professionals get my hard earned tax money in the form of grants or loans... all because they don't have a white penis...
Screw 'em... I got here without their aid, and I will eventually rule the world without their aid as well... HEHEHE....

"The Angry White Man is not a metrosexual, a homosexual or a victim. Nobody like him drowned in Hurricane Katrina — he got his people together and got the hell out, then went back in to rescue those too helpless and stupid to help themselves, often as a police officer, a National Guard soldier or a volunteer firefighter. "

Yep... screw waiting on the government to get me out... They mess up issuing a drivers lisence, and it takes them a month to let me know I am legally married... If they think I am waiting on their sorry asses to save me from a mother nature, they have another thing coming... Yet, I will happily go back in once I know my family is safe in order to help those who thought (half the problem right there) that the government cared about anything other than their votes (since they don't pay taxes, what else would the government want from them?)...

Personal responsibility and choices, or lack there of, make or break a person... Not what the government can do for a person... What ever happened to the "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country" mentality of America? Trial lawyers, politicians and out right rats effectively killed that with entitlements and other beuracracies... the only people not affected... the angry white male...

"Women either love him or hate him, but they know he’s a man, not a dishrag. If they’re looking for someone to walk all over, they’ve got the wrong guy. He stands up straight, opens doors for women and says “Yes, sir” and “No, ma’am.”"

Astronomy II

We are four weeks into the semester already, and tonight was the first night I had the opportunity to take out my Monday night intro to astronomy lab section. We had watched a couple of movies the previous weeks, but tonight, we got to observe.

It was awesome!!!

It is amazing what happens to someone the first time that they see Saturn through a telescope, or get to gaze upon the terminator edge of the moon... Everyone, even the hardest, most stubborn mule headed male will melt like a little child when they see these things. It is really fun to watch college students turn into children again.

Did I mention that this was an awesome night?!

I think that I like these nights the best because they allow me to hear the students stories. When we sit in the class and watch movies, I am just a talking head and they are just sleeping students. On nights when we are on the roof though, all bets are off. I get to hear about their lives, their broken relationships, their friendships, engagements, plans after college and even stories about their children...

Those times on the roof, the lines between student and instructor are worn really thin. Relationships are built and lives are changed... absolutely amazing what God's Creation can do for us if we just let it... Absolutely amazing...

It was an awesome, awesome night...
