Watching waiting wondering.
Are you there? Do you look down on me with pride, or disgust.
I am not the man we planned on me being, and yet I am a shadow of him.
There is still hope for me, that I can become half the man and father that you were, that you still are...
Two kids now, a wife and a mortgage...
I push carts pappa bear. I push carts.
I watch the sprinklers now, more and more.
Wondering when it will be the last day I can.
It is only a matter of time. I am still reeling from that day.
You left so suddenly, but we all knew how you felt.
You loved us, you still do.
No degree, still struggling...
I push carts pappa bear. I push carts.
Mikey makes me laugh; a complete joy.
You would have loved his so, but you left too soon.
I know you can see him down here, running in the sprinklers.
He knows you, mom has made sure of that. Pappi.
We miss you, more than we knew.
Worried about the future, no reserves left.
I push carts pappa bear. I push carts.
So much on my mind; I do not sleep at night.
I wonder lost through the day.
I miss you and your guidance; your love.
Now you love us in ways we can't see or feel.
Little consolation; yet you do.
I push carts pappa bear. I push carts.

Trusting the System
I always used to hear in high school that I was too nice and that nice guys never ________________. You can complete that with what ever you like, but generally it was something like "get ahead" or "get the girl". It used to really make me angry watching the guy who acted like a complete ass get the girl I would have treated like a princess, or watch the kid who cheated on all his tests get the awards the guys like me who worked hard should have gotten.
Now I am watching tax cheats and outright liars run the greatest country in the world into the ground, and I wonder is trusting in the system worth it or should I start trying to get ahead by other means?
I've always heard that if I tithed I would be blessed... I've tithed, and now I have burnt through all my savings, am living paycheck to paycheck, and am going to have to borrow money from my mother just to be able to buy groceries this month.
I've always heard that if I worked hard, my work would speak for itself and I would be able to get ahead... I've worked my ass off the last six months, and yet the guys who sit on their ass for 40 minutes out of every hour and blow smoke up the right manager's ass get jobs I have applied for despite them being on the job a shorter time than me and never working as hard.
I've always thought that honest people would make the best politicians. Yet I watch honestly good people get destroyed by power hungry ego maniacs that lie out of both sides of their mouth...
When did the system go so wrong?
Prayers,
Pisio

BDS
Liberals need to get over it. Bush is no longer in charge. Obama inherited a mess, but he has done exactly the wrong things to clean them up... I mean seriously imagine this conversation:
Husband: Honey, we are in over our heads. Our debt is unsustainable.
Wife: Oh really... what are we going to do about it?
Husband: Lets spend our way out of it...
I know if I had that one with my wife she would either have me committed or she would tell me to see her in divorce court (not really, but just sayin).
Now he wants to nationalize our bodies... what happened to that whole choice thing? I thought liberals wanted people to keep their hands off of their bodies... unless it is government subsidized health care... Do you realize we already have that? It is called the Emergency Room. Not ideal, but at least people have access...
There is a huge problem no one seems to be thinking/ talking about when it comes to health care, and a government option. The government does not need to make a profit (as evidenced by just about everything it gets its hands on). Private companies do. In the long run, a government option eliminates all competition since it can undercut any private company, and print its way out of a deficit. If a government option comes available it should be subject to all the rules and regulations that the government lays on private industry, but rules do not apply to the government.
Is Obama just stupid when he says a government option in health care will increase competition? Nope... he knows exactly what he is doing... enslaving more to Government...
Scary...
Prayers...

P.S.: Bob, don't even bother commenting it will be rejected... with out even being considered (I am too busy pulling Bush's jock out of my mouth; dipS**t).

ABC News
This kind of disturbs me. I have never seen anything like this before in my life. A media that is so complacent while an elected leader destroys our country. He has bypassed bankruptcy laws to bail out his union buddies. He has fired an IG who was investigating his cronies and now ABC news seems to be becoming an extension of his campaign for reelection.
I can only pray that our country wakes up and makes this guy a one termer. I can only imagine the mess he will cause if he is in for 8 years. I shudder at the thought of what the country I leave my children will look like. I actually cried the night OBAMA (One Bad Ass Mistake America) was elected. If there is any doubt the media is in the tank for this guy, this latest thing with ABC should confirm it in even the most loyal Obidiot's eyes.
America is a great country! LETS REMAKE IT!
No thanks... I'll keep my guns and Religion.

Mercy Me
Today I had a good night out with an old friend. Actually he will be baby girl's Godfather when we have everything in place to get her baptized. He had a point about Mercy and said that it must be the last thing to go when you are seeking justice, and at the forefront of your quest for justice (essentially, that is paraphrased). He talked in particular about the early Church and how they prayed for the blessings and prosperity of their persecutors even as they were being thrown to the lions. The discussion then turned to immigration.
He managed to convince me that amnesty for the immigrants here is not necessarily a bad thing, and that deportation is not necessarily the answer to all things illegal immigration (not that I believed either extreme to begin with). I guess you can say that I am a pro-amnesty Conservative now, but prior to amnesty, you must answer the what next and how do we prevent this from happening again questions. I propose below a couple simple answers:
What next?
Have those who have come here illegally go through the same process those who have come here legally have had to. That would require them to fill out all the back ground checks, medical paperwork and other useless non-sense those who came here legally had to fill out. If they are healthy, have no criminal history and can support themselves without being a burden on the society (as all immigrants and sponsors have to promise) then they can say provided they pay all fees plus a 30% penalty. If they have any diseases, can not support themselves without public aid or have a criminal past, then they must go home, just as anyone trying to come here legally would be denied entry.
This new set of laws would provide for a couple of exceptions:
1. Asylum for those politically or religiously persecuted.
2. Those who have been here over 3 years (I had to promise the my wife would not be a burden on society (welfare recipient) for the first three years she lived here, it seems only fair that those who have not set down roots must go home).
In the case of an anchor baby under three years old, the baby would be able to return with full US citizenship upon reaching age 18. Prior to this age they are considered a minor, and since the parents are subject to another country's laws and not ours, they can not stay. Once the citizen has re-entered the US they may apply to bring the rest of their family here under existing laws and regulations.
How do we prevent this from happening again?
Secure the borders with a fence and back it up with the necessary personnel to ensure the US remains the US. Re-write existing laws so that it is easier to come here. After talking to someone who works for DHS my eyes were opened to the feelings of a lot in the industry. It seems, especially way up the chain of command, the attitude is that they do not care who is here, or how many come from x country. They just want to know who is here. In other words, drop the quota system. Allow for a new process that lets anyone who wants to come in to the country, provided they bring what is good about their culture with them, and leave what they are leaving behind.
This may not be an ideal solution for all, but it will solve some of the problems. You can not realistically deport everyone that is here illegally, but you can send home the bad eggs, and make sure no more get in. That will keep the US the US and not turn it into a Banana Republic.
As to what Mercy Me has to do with this, I guess that once again my eyes have been opened to the need for Mercy from someone who needs His Mercy...
Prayers,
Pisio

Agenda?
I just want to state this ahead of time. I do not condone murder. Whether it be killing a baby killer, a murderer or someone who is completely innocent it is wrong on all levels. However, two recent murders have caught my attention and one has caught that of the media.
A prominent baby murderer by the name of George Tiller was killed over the weekend. It is shocking and horrible and tragic that someone who supports a right to life would kill someone who did not share that view.
Monday morning, an army recruiter was killed by a Muslim convert who hated the US military. This is shocking and horrible and tragic that a patriot doing his job could be murdered by someone who did not share his views.
Yet as of today there are over 7000 references in the main stream media to the murder of George Tiller and a mere 500 references to the murder of William Long. One has to ask themselves why? Why would the media cover the murder of an abortionist at a rate of almost 12 -1 over that of an Army soldier.
It could be argued that since Tiller was murdered 24 hours before Long that there are more articles, or that they needed news over the weekend because Obama was not out apologizing for being American (he was spending over $24000 of tax payer dollars on a night out with his wife though).
I have another theory though... Tiller's murder fits a template and an agenda of the MSM and elected/appointed officials to paint pro-lifers as radicals and terrorists. They want to paint those of us who lean right, or are right of center as out of the mainstream and this story helps them get that message out. The Long story though is not politically correct. It paints a picture that no one wants to show. Muslims are supposed to be peace loving people. Yet here is one that does not fit that portrait. Instead of reporting honestly on the story, one whacko did something horrible, they are hiding it.
So in one case the murder is a good thing for the media. It helps them paint a picture they want to show, in the other case it is not what they want to show so they hide it.
Maybe I am a paranoid right wing nut (Okay... I am, I know Obama's brownshirts are coming to take me to the reeducation camps), or maybe there is something to it. I have to admit that I would not have even known about the Army recruiter's death if I had not turned on local talk radio this morning, but I could not avoid the evil perpetuated by the misguided soul who killed Tiller. Why?
Prayers,
Pisio

Long Time
I guess I need to post. It has been a while.
I just do not know anymore. I have a lot to say, I think, but the words are not coming out. I recently had to get glasses for reading. They are helping a lot. I no longer have tension in my head when I read or browse the internet. Maybe, just maybe this will mean I will start blogging again, and getting the words out.
The glasses will be extremely important for me this coming semester. I have four classes, all on Thursday, a 100, 200, 300 and 400 level class. If all goes well I will be graduating a year from now. I am really hoping that all goes well. As it stands, I am worried for my children and the future of my country. I am wondering if the US as I knew it, loved it and served it will ever return. My guess is that it will, but it will not be until my grand children's children are old enough to take control of the government.
True fear is waking up to find that your high school class is running the country- unknown.
Prayers,
Pisio
