Been a While

So a lot has happened personally since my last post. I hope that I can at least update this blog once a week. I hope to eventually get back to daily postings, but for now, with all that I am doing, once a week will have to suffice.

Since my last posting a lot has changed in my life:

My wife and I lost child number 3 to a miscarriage. We lost number 1 (Linus) to a miscarriage a few years back, then had Mikey. Now we have lost another to miscarriage (we have not named him or her yet), but remember that whirlwind trip to San Francisco and Northern Arizona we took in August? Well looks like that is when we conceived "Pinetop" (he/she is due in May).

Also, on the advice of some liberal friends of mine I switched majors to Political Science. They say that when I talk about things political I light up. Whether they agree with me or not they at least want to go and dig into things deeper. After the ass drubbing Conservatism took in the election cycle and a lot of reflection and prayer I decided I like political discussion and commentary a lot more than Calculus.

One of the consequences of the election of a typical tax and spend uberlib is that charitable donations go down. So much money is taken out of the pockets of individuals by the government by force, that they can no longer give what they want to charities by choice. My position at the Church is being cut, and post me it may be altogether eliminated. Sad, but unfortunately true. As a result, I had to find another job.

I found that Wal-Mart is not just a place that ticks off liberals, but it is an amazing place to work. I picked up a full time job pushing carts since my donation based salary at the Church is going to be cut, if not outright eliminated. They offer some amazing benefits that our growing family can use and they are not unionized (although if Obama and the libs get their way via card check, it might be).

Ah well... 2009 should be an interesting year. I hope I am wrong, but I project the following:
  • Despite the hopeychangey talk, our new POTUS will be more of the same, as evidenced by his cabinet choices so far (Clinton 3.0)
  • 52% of Americans will have succeeded in taking away 100% of the populations liberty, but they may realize that despite new people being in charge, socialism will still fail.
  • People will long for a return to the good old days under President Bush.
  • In 2012, President (fill in name of Conservative) will commute President Obama's sentence to time served (the only person in history to be surrounded by as much corruption and slime and come out unblemished is Christ, and hopefully we realize Obama is not Christ).
  • The US will still be the greatest country on Earth, despite Reid, Pelosi and Obama's best efforts to turn us into the French (okay, so I hope I am right about this one).
I predict outrage and protest from my liberal readers in 4...3...2..

Prayers,

Pisio

Well, I am sorry for your loss. I know there are not really any words that would make a difference, but what happened to you both shouldn't happen to people.

Glad to see you back in blogosphere...
